Curve Rear Bike Light

I bought both front and rear light and i am very satisfied with them. Easy to use. Small enough to fit in any pocket. Quick reload and the power of a light torch. Great buy

Plus points which apply to both front and rear lights: 1. Light beam has high sideways component which alerts cars coming out of side roads. 2. Battery life excellent. Lasts for several 3-4 hour rides 3. Easy to turn on/off by squeezing both sides at once. Same squeezing then cycles through the 4 light options (bright/less bright and steady/flash). Minus points: 1. The elastic band doesn't easily secure to the places you want to mount the light. Need to have some rubber bands available from previous purchases. 2. User manual has to be downloaded and is not particularly instructive. Some of the text is also available on a very small card that comes with the product.

As the review title might suggest, I bought a second set for another bike, so I guess I like them :) I ride the front and back mostly in flashing mode on lower power as they are lights to *be seen*, rather than *see with*. That said, on some of my winter morning commutes through the forest, the front light on full power (no flash) easily lasts long enough for a 45+min ride. And as I have probably more cables than a grown adult will ever need, I can top it up when I get to work.

I am a pretty amateur cyclist, having only gotten my first road bike 3 months ago. As a commuter in New York City, I needed something that is most importantly bright and good quality. Bookman Curve fit the bill. I'm a college student, so I commute to and from school, and I usually do my longest rides early in the morning or late at night after class; both of which times of the day, the sun is down. I usually use the Curve as a flasher, either in the low-power strobe, or in the super visible "Pulse" mode. Let me tell ya, this thing lasts forever! I've only had to recharge it a couple of times in the few weeks that I've had it. It's also super bright, and people definitely see me coming even in the brightest areas of the city. What I love most is that the light almost "wraps" around my seat post, so I can be seen not only from behind but from the sides also. The light is easy to attach with the silicon band around my saddle post. I have recommended the Curve lights to many of my friends, and I honestly urge anyone reading this to try them out. Bookman boasts excellent customer service on top of excellent products.

Love these, the shape, feel, brigthness. So easy to recharge. Not your typical boring shape and color. The function and feel of a true designer and engineers spirit. Looks great, feels great, superior to nearly all my other bike lights. (I have Giant, Lezyne, Knog etc) I would only change one thing, the color of the band, and I would add the ability to put on a large band for placement on head tubes. Make the band the same color as the gray light and you have a 5 star review.Add a changeable sized up band, you'd get six starts. Just a fantastic thing.
