Shipping & delivery
Where do you ship to?
We ship globally. From Sweden to most of Europe (2-4 working days), the UK and Switzerland (3–6 working days), and North America and rest of the world (3-6 working days). Full details on the shipping page.
Do you ship to my country?
Yes, almost all countries are supported at checkout — enter your address and the available shipping options will appear. If your country isn't offered or you have a remote address checkout can't quote, email customerservice@bookmanvisibility.com and we'll see what we can arrange. For shipping times by region, see the shipping question above.
Will I pay customs?
We ship from Sweden. Within the EU you will not have to pay any customs — VAT is included at checkout. For US, customs is prepaid when ordering. For UK, Switzerland, and other destinations, customs and import duties may apply on arrival and are paid by the customer per local rules. We declare the actual order value on every shipment. Read more on the Shipping page.
How do I track my order?
You receive a tracking link by email when your order ships. If your tracking shows no movement after 5 working days, email customerservice@bookmanvisibility.com with your order number — sometimes the carrier reports late.
What if my order hasn't arrived?
First, check the tracking link in your shipping email and look for a delivery notice from your local carrier. If the parcel is genuinely delayed beyond the expected window or marked lost, email customerservice@bookmanvisibility.com with your order number and we'll open a parcel investigation with the carrier and replace the order if needed.
Returns, refunds & warranty
How long is your warranty?
Bookman lights carry a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects. Normal wear and tear are not covered. To start a claim, email customerservice@bookmanvisibility.com with your order number and a photo or short video of the issue.
How do I claim warranty?
Email customerservice@bookmanvisibility.com with three things: your order number, a clear photo or short video of the issue, and a description of what happened. We reply within two working days with next steps.
How do I return an item?
You can return any unused item in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Email customerservice@bookmanvisibility.com with your order number to start the return; we'll send a return label. See the full return policy.
When do refunds arrive?
Refunds are usually issued within 5 working days of us receiving your return. Your bank may take a further 3–5 working days to show the funds.
My item arrived damaged — what now?
Email customerservice@bookmanvisibility.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the damage. Keep the packaging — carriers often require it for an investigation. We'll replace the item once we've reviewed your photos.
I got the wrong item — what do I do?
Sorry about that. Email customerservice@bookmanvisibility.com with your order number and a photo of what you received, and we'll send the correct item with a return label for the wrong one.

Product & technical
How many lumens do I need for my type of riding?
It depends on where you ride. For lit city commuting: 200–500 lumens. For unlit suburban or rural roads: 600–1000. For unlit gravel and country roads at speed: 1000+ (Volume 800 or Volume 1500). For mountain biking off-road at night: 1500+ and preferably dual lights on handlebar and helmet to improve depth perception. The full guide is on the Bookman blog.
Where are the manuals?
All current manuals are on bookmanvisibility.com/pages/manuals as PDFs. Cant find what you need - email customerservice@bookmanvisibility.com and we'll send you the right one.
Can I buy spare parts?
Yes. Replacement straps, mounts, batteries, and adapters for the Curve, Volume, and Block Light families are available. If a part isn't visible on the website yet, email customerservice@bookmanvisibility.com with your order number and what you need — most spare parts can be sent on request, free or at a small cost depending on the part.
Can I bring spare bike-light batteries on a flight?
Yes, in carry-on baggage. The Volume 1500 battery (around 14.4 Wh) and Volume 800 battery (around 11.5 Wh) are both well under the 100 Wh per-cell limit airlines apply to lithium-ion cells. Pack spare cells in carry-on with terminals taped or in their original packaging. The light can travel with the cell installed. Airline policies vary — confirm with your carrier for international flights.
How do I mount the Volume?
The light has a standard garmin attachment to work with the included mount or your own preferred mount, if you have a GoPro mount that can be used with the included go pro adapter. For the included Garmin mount - place the strap around your handlebar at your chosen position and tighten it with the supplied allen key. Slide the light's quarter-turn base into the clamp and rotate to lock. For helmet or under-bar mounting, use the included GoPro adapter. Full sequence in the Volume 1500 manual.
Can I mount the Volume on my helmet?
Yes. The Volume includes a GoPro-compatible adapter, so it attaches to any GoPro-pattern helmet mount. For helmet use, the Volume 800 is often the better fit — it's smaller and lighter.
What torque should I use on the Volume's Garmin mount?
If the Garmin mount on the light feels loose, tighten the M5 bolt to 5 Nm, preferably with a torque wrench, otherwise hand-tight with the supplied allen key.
Can I use a third-party battery in my Volume?
Volume batteries are custom-designed for the light. On the current Volume 1500 and Volume 800, both poles sit on the same side of the cell, so standard 21700 or 18650 cells from other brands won't fit. Use the Bookman spare battery for guaranteed compatibility, correct runtime, and protected charging.
What comes in the box?
Volume 1500 light with one 4000 mAh battery installed, a Garmin-pattern handlebar mount, a GoPro adapter for under-bar or helmet mounting, a USB-C charging cable, an allen key, a printed manual, and a mesh bag.
How long does it take to charge?
A full charge from empty takes around 8 hours from a USB-C charger or laptop. The four LEDs on the bottom show charge level.
